About Me
My name is Erika A. Cadenas, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
practicing in California's scenic Central Coast. I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years as a bilingual and bicultural clinician. I have worked at community nonprofits with adults and youth struggling with depression, anxiety and substance abuse issues.
I am a mother of two. When I became a mother for the first time, my whole world changed. After a very challenging pregnancy and a birth trauma, I struggled from the baby blues and postpartum anxiety. The delivery of my second child led me to pursue a specialty in perinatal mental health. As a mom of two, I can relate to the many physical and emotional changes that your body and psyche will go through during and after pregnancy. Perinatal mental health is very real and it affects so many moms, yet is often not normalized nor talked about.
